New signing Carlo Cudicini could make his Tottenham debut in goal as Heurelho Gomes has a thigh injury but Pascal Chimbonda was not registered in time.
Aaron Lennon (groin), Jonathan Woodgate (back) and Luka Modric (hamstring/back) are carrying knocks but may play.
Striker Ricardo Fuller is expected to be on the bench for Stoke after completing a three-match ban for slapping team-mate Andy Griffin.
